Welcome to Rā Designs!
My name is Tomo, and I established Rā Designs in 2018. I am a Dunedin Designer also representing my Maori and Polynesian heritage. I have a background in Graphic Design, web, and custom clothing prints. I have a passion to create meaningful visual expressions of art and interpret this by using a wide range of mediums including, graphics, animation, video, art, and much more.
I use my all-around skills to work alongside others and develop ideas that can be shared in a creative and visually appealing way. I work to ensure that every graphic, colour, or symbol depicted represents the story or message that you want to share. My main goal with every job I work on is to ensure that there is a connection in the design that adds value for you and tells your story. I also design graphics that can assist to customize and personalize clothing and furniture. I have the tools and resources that enable me to print on clothing, hats, bags, and other products – I love a new job and challenge!
The same philosiphies occurs when I am working with Cultral elements. The have certain patterns, symbols that have meaning and when you get the balance of story and meaning to create a memorable graphic thats when your design skills really shines.
